An Idea Born out of Need

Frank and Patricia Hassett recently retired general practitioners  from Ennis , County Clare visited Kampala, Uganda at the invitation of Dr Anne Merriman, founder of Hospice Africa Uganda in the mid nineties. Her home based model of palliative care appealed to us. She suggested that there was a need to help the development of the hospice in Jinja, capital of Busoga region.
